Yosua 7:6

7:6 Joshua tore his clothes; ¹  he and the leaders ²  of Israel lay face down on the ground before the ark of the Lord until evening ³  and threw dirt on their heads. ⁴ 

Yosua 10:24

10:24 When they brought the kings out to Joshua, he ⁵  summoned all the men of Israel and said to the commanders of the troops who accompanied him, “Come here ⁶  and put your feet on the necks of these kings.” So they came up ⁷  and put their feet on their necks.

Yosua 11:23

11:23 Joshua conquered ⁸  the whole land, just as the Lord had promised Moses, ⁹  and he assigned Israel their tribal portions. ¹⁰  Then the land was free of war.

[7:6]  ⁴ sn Throwing dirt on one’s head was an outward expression of extreme sorrow (see Lam 2:10; Ezek 27:30).

[10:24]  ⁵ tn Heb “Joshua.” The translation has replaced the proper name with the pronoun (“he”) because a repetition of the proper name here would be redundant according to English style.

[10:24]  ⁶ tn Or “Draw near.”

[10:24]  ⁷ tn Or “drew near.”

[11:23]  ⁸ tn Heb “took.”

[11:23]  ⁹ tn Heb “according to all which the Lord said to Moses.” The translation assumes this refers to the promise of the land (see 1:3). Another possibility is that it refers to the Lord’s instructions, in which case the phrase could be translated, “just as the Lord had instructed Moses” (so NLT; cf. also NIV “had directed Moses”).
